WASHING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR NYLON GARMENTS

Laundering Preparation
For best results and maximum wear, launder uniforms immediately after each use. Garments that cannot be cleaned promptly should be hung individually or rust-proof hangers or hooks. Perspiration fading or color bleeding may occur if wet garments are left in a pile. After a game, inspect uniforms for snags, tears, etc. To prevent further damage, make repairs before washing. Remove all contrast color items from garments before laundering and wash separately. Before laundering a NEW set of uniforms, wash a sample garment according to care label instructions.

Soaking
Only pre-soak garments when absolutely necessary.
Pre-soaking is not recommended on colored garments with white panels. If soaking is necessary, soak heavily soiled garments in lukewarm (110 degrees F Maximum!) Water with a protein release agent for a maximum of 45 minutes. Hot water soaking can cause color bleeding. Do not soak garments without protein release. Do not use more than the manufacturer’s recommended amount of protein release. Keep water level in washing machine high. Immediately after each soaking run garments through a normal wash cycle.

Washing
Do not wash white and colored garments together. Wash and rinse all garments in warm water (110 degrees F Maximum!) Wash garments with mild detergent only. Use only manufacturer’s recommended amounts of mild detergent. Keep water level in washing machine high to reduce mechanical action. Do not overload washing machine. This causes shrinkage and impedes cleaning.

Bleach
Never use a chlorine bleach on any garment because it fades and weakens some materials. Do not use bleach on any garment that contain spandex or carry braid, trim or embroidery. When bleach is required use a light application of an oxygen base “color safe” bleach.

Drying
When tumble drying use the lowest temperature or “air” setting.
Remove garments from dryer promptly.

Dry Cleaning
Do not dry clean any of your uniforms.

Storing
Garments should be completely dry before storing. Store uniforms in a cool dry area protected form sunlight and fluorescent light. This will prevent mildew and yellowing.
